451 worked the 1444 Larne/GVS failing at Ballycarry. It was late leaving Larne and crossed the 1419 GVS/Larne @ Magheramorne which then meant the 1544xLarne was stuck behind it.

However 456 on the 1519 GVS/Larne ran Empty from Whitehead and hauled 451 to York Road as a 6 car 450.

1544xLarne (459) arrived into Downshire 88 mins late!

First of all, we see 113 at York Road in the motorway siding, then 228 off the 1033xDrogheda going ECS to York Road for fuel,

Then a trip to Victoria Square dome was made and seen there is 783 leading the 1157xLarne across the Dargan Bridge.

Finally heading home 97 was caught at Central working the, 1255 Portadown-York Road Empty working after failing last night in Portadown on nightshift sandite duties. 97 was shut down and it returned with only 82 driving.

When going home 8918 was captured at York Road and 458 at Downshire on the 1357xLarne!

Saturdays is one day everybody looks forward to. Back then, most people it would be to get off work or school. For me it was to get a 071 to somewhere!!

This album, 081 hauls the final Mk2 from Sligo on A901 (0855 Sligo-Dublin Connolly)

072 seen stabled at Dundalk on Standby duties. This loco was allocated to Tara Duties, but due to the Malahide line closure the decision was taken to store 072 at Dundalk for some reason.

Behind the old girl is 2 sets of withdrawn MkIII coaching stock. The stock is expected to be scrapped soon, I am also told the bodywork is in NO conditon to haul the sets to North Wall or a scrapping location so I could very well happen in Dundalk Frieght Yard

Plan was to get the steam at Eden (near Carrick) but due to the civil unrest at Lurgan it was cancelled. It was meant to run Lisburn - Portadown x3 return runs for the festival in Portadown. The train was cancelled and 3003 & 458 was the only interest there that morning!

Status Quo in Concert at Carrickfergus Castle. NIR ran two specials running at 2330 & 2345. The 2227xLarne (2300xCarrick) was defferred to 2330 but numbers were not as expected and was sent in original path. The 2345 Spl to Belfast left with 12 people on it. Another waste of time. 455 was the 2345 Special

9004 in Platform 3 at Portadown (209) Failed with bad suspension

9001 off the 1100xDublin (69mins late) terminated at Portadown and passengers put onto CAF set. However the 1100xDublin was turned round and sent back as the 1230xBelfast.
